And this was just last night. After a hard day of "playing" , this is the way to chillax.

Right now we're doing a lot of prep/training/maintainance for the summer. We've got weekend groups here, and in a few weeks we'll start our canoe trips, but Camp really comes alive when June rolls around. Be  well folks!

Time goes too fast. That is my most recent revelation.
In the last few weeks I've had the privilege of going on two more canoe trips. The first one I got some pics and the other I don't have any pics 'cause a certain somebody never got them to me yet. : ) But it was a good trip nonetheless.
*editors note*  Thanks to a certain individual, we've been able to gain access to a limited number of photos for trip #2. ;p

Baking/roasting/charring/burning our bread-on-a-sticks. Fill'm w/ pie filling, squirt some sweetened condensed milk on top, OH YEAH! It just doesn't get much better.

Wringing out the clothes is a great team initiative.



Laziness is the mother of all inventions. GET THIS! At one point the wind was pulling so hard on the sail that the back of our canoes were only about 1 inch out of the water! I have never in all my days gone so fast in a canoe.

A really cool place called Pilot Mt. We hiked to the top at about 11:00pm and enjoyed the fantabulous view. The girls headed down about midnight, but I slept at the top w/o sleeping bag, jacket or nothing, just for the kicks n giggles.

A really nice property, which hopefully in the future will be a girls camp, had lake where we went fishing n had a phenominally relaxing day.


The ultimate backcountry camping experience! Everybody should do this at least once in their lives.

Hey, don't know how many of you guys found out that part of Nelson Gingerich's house burned last Sat. night. Well, I'm mighty proud to tell you that by Tuesday night the roof was back on! There was like 55 men working away, and about that many women and children cheering them on(or at least providing moral support). I was there on Sunday morning to help w/ the cleanup, wish I coulda got in on more of the work but so goes.

Electrical and plumbing to be done by tomorrow and drywall is getting hung Saturday!

 

From this /\   to this \/    in about three days ain't too half shabby bad!

Trekked out to Plain City this weekend. Had a grand time w/ friends. The only downer to an otherwise great weekend was Jim LeRoy's crash at the Dayton Air Show.
